Who we are

The Semmelhaack Group is an owner-managed family business based in Elmshorn, right on the A23 motorway on the doorstep of Hamburg. Over the years, Semmelhaack Logistik, founded in 2008, has grown into a group of four companies that interlock along the supply chain: Semmelhaack Logistik (contract logistics and freight forwarding), Semmelhaack Fulfillment (e-commerce and B2B shipping), USEPA (custom-size pallets) and Semmelhaack Service (warehouse services under fixed-scope service contracts).

What unites us: short lines of communication, dedicated contacts and the commitment to honestly assess what is feasible – and then to deliver it reliably. No request is too complex for us, but we also tell you when something cannot be done.

Our roots go back to 1949: that is when Karl-Otto Semmelhaack, grandfather of today's management, started building wooden crates in Kollmar – this grew into the pallet manufacturing business that is still run by the family today. Go to our history →

What we measure ourselves by

Reliability – deadlines, temperatures, stock levels: we document what we promise, and our customers can check it in the portal at any time.
Security – intruder alarm systems with direct connection to a monitoring centre, full video surveillance inside and outside at all locations.
Quality – certified to ISO 9001:2015, IFS Logistics 3.0 (higher level) and organic standards, audited regularly by independent bodies.
Proximity – decisions are made in-house, not at a corporate headquarters.
